Field Position: East Region - Person can reside in NY/NJ/PA area
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of LED Lighting the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for managing assigned geographic, distributor and OEM account responsibilities, as well as forecasting, planning, and executing sales goals. Sales & Account Management: Maximize revenues and unit potential in assigned region and assigned distributor and OEM accounts; develop strong account relationships that will provide Sharp with good product positioning, and thorough and honest feedback on product and programs; Analyze and develop sales objectives by segment for each assigned region and distributor and OEM accounts; develop Business Plan for each region and assigned distributor and OEM accounts that will achieve the assigned sales budget; monitor distributor sell-through and suggest options to accelerate as necessary; coordinate with Sales/Service/Logistics in the supply chain process to ensure timely deliver of the product. Participate in Trade Shows and special events.
Administration: Develop, maintain and update region and distributor and OEM account forecasts to insure business plan achievement; work with reps to secure distributor and OEM account orders monthly; maintain distributor and OEM account status with Credit and Accounting Departments; compile necessary corporate reports and a provide weekly activity report.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of sales in commercial/industrial products.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Business Administration required.
Knowledge of product and distribution in the electrical / lighting industry required; experience with LED technology experience a strong plus.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Power Point required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong presentation and multi-tasking skills.
Domestic travel averaging 60%+.
